Barox Quickly Gets the Video System in the Saxon State Parliament up to Scratch
In 2017, the Saxon State Parliament in Dresden launched a comprehensive project on the subject of video. The aim was to renew the video surveillance throughout the building. During the renovation, there were difficulties with the transmission of the data packets. The recordings were either not made at all, only in very poor image quality, or the data packets did not arrive. A Siemens technician, who had already had good experiences with barox devices, finally brought barox into play in October 2019.
A technical challenge was the continued use of the installed coax cables. The IP / PoE extenders were used via coaxial cables and the old short distances are thus still in operation without interference. Within a few months, barox brought the parliament’s system up to scratch. The video system has been running perfectly from the start, the connections are stable, the image quality leaves nothing to be desired. Object protection is thus guaranteed thanks to the use of the barox 19″ switch with management, 10G uplink, 24 ports PoE + and DMS and the switch for video applications with PoE+; industrial switch with PoE+ and optical uplink. The network is stable due to the use of these components.
“barox solved our existing problems quickly and in very good quality,” says Jan Treichel, technical employee of the Saxon State Parliament: “The service idea was always the top priority.” barox is now also in demand for further projects of the Saxon State Parliament. The project was successfully completed in March 2020, so it only took a few months.
