Barox Kommunikation AG Celebrates its 25th Anniversary.

Angelo Banfi and Rudolf Rohr founded their company 25 years ago on September 1, 1998, in Baden, Switzerland. In the early years after barox was founded, video primarily meant analog. This naturally also applied to the transmission systems. From the outset, one of the young company’s strengths was its high level of expertise in fiber optic technology. This quickly became known, and barox was soon able to supply the major players in significant projects.

The foreseeable shift from analog video technology to IP as the technology base for video was gradually implemented by the company with its partners. The product range, know-how, and work processes were carefully converted. During this phase, it became clear that the new technology offered many opportunities to design a product and improve the benefits for the user or make it easier to operate. As part of this conversion, the decision was made to develop proprietary products. This decision proved to be groundbreaking for the company.

Today, barox is a respected partner for network technology in video surveillance. barox skillfully utilizes its decades of experience and in-depth understanding of the market to integrate innovative functions into its products. During product development, a strong focus is placed on the three areas of PoE management, cybersecurity, and ease of use. barox also attaches great importance to providing its customers with highly qualified service. This is reflected, among other things, in personal customer support without a ticketing system or chatbots.

barox is no longer exclusively active in German-speaking countries. For several years, the sales area has been continuously expanded, for example to Great Britain, Ireland, and also the Middle East.
