JURA CEMENT in Wildegg Relies on barox
Securing company premises is more important today than ever. Whether production facilities, logistics centers, or industrial sites – companies face the challenge of protecting their properties from unauthorized access, theft, or sabotage. One of the most effective measures for securing these sensitive areas is the use of modern video surveillance systems. For video surveillance to function effectively, a robust network infrastructure is crucial. Innovative network Switches play a key role here. They guarantee the necessary bandwidth, minimize the risk of failure, and protect the video network from unwanted attacks with integrated cyber security functions. By working with experienced partners and using modern technologies, companies can guarantee a maximum level of protection and surveillance – around the clock.

Jura-Cement-Fabriken AG in Wildegg, with a production capacity of over one million tons of cement, is the second-largest cement manufacturer in Switzerland and part of the globally active building materials group CRH, based in Ireland. Thanks to its innovative, sustainable production processes, the Wildegg plant is the most modern and exemplary cement plant in Switzerland. However, at the beginning of this year, the company faced a major challenge: Recurring bandwidth problems were affecting the stability of the network – a critical point, especially for process monitoring and area surveillance of the extensive company premises.
To solve this problem, JURA CEMENT turned to barox Kommunikation AG. After a comprehensive analysis of the existing network infrastructure, it quickly became clear that the high-performance network Switches from barox were the perfect solution.
The implementation of 44 barox Switches took place at the beginning of the year – with resounding success. The bandwidth problems have since been a thing of the past, and the network operates stably and reliably. This improvement is of central importance, especially for the 24/7 surveillance of the company premises, as it ensures the security and efficiency of operations. “Thanks to the Switches from barox, we were not only able to significantly increase our network performance, but also regain confidence in our surveillance systems. We particularly appreciate the fact that barox, like us, is based in Aargau – the regional proximity to the manufacturer gives us additional confidence,” Martin Maier, Head of Electrical Group at JURA CEMENT, emphasizes with satisfaction.
At barox, we are proud to have made a decisive contribution to optimizing the operational processes at JURA CEMENT with our products. This success story impressively demonstrates how our network solutions support companies in overcoming challenges in order to achieve their goals.
Our thanks go to JURA CEMENT for the trust they have placed in us – we look forward to a successful continuation of our partnership!
