Sustainability at barox

Responsibility that shapes the future. We translate our sustainable goals into concrete measures that we consistently implement along our entire value chain.

A system for real impact

Sustainability is not an individual project for us, but is firmly anchored in our daily activities. With our environmental management in accordance with ISO 14001, we analyze our impact in a structured manner, set clear priorities and continue to develop consistently.

Our principle is clear and effective:

analyze → prioritize → implement → improve

We deliberately focus on the measures that make the biggest difference – data-based, transparent and measurable. Because for us, sustainability doesn’t just have to be well-intentioned, it has to actually make a difference.

Less plastic. More posture.

Packaging has a significant impact on our ecological footprint. This is precisely where we take clear decisions and consistent action. By using alternative materials, optimized designs and binding specifications for our suppliers, we have been able to significantly reduce our plastic consumption.

The result: less material, less stress with unchanged reliable product protection. A step that shows that responsibility and quality are not a contradiction in terms.

Less CO₂ on every journey

A key lever lies in our supply chain. That is why we have consistently analyzed and optimized our transport routes. Our emissions are calculated in accordance with ISO 14083, and we have had a completely new, transparent database since 2023.

What we have achieved:

  • Noticeably lower emissions per transported product
  • Around a third less CO₂ emissions per unit weight
  • Successful shift from air to sea freight

What is particularly important to us is that even the smallest changes can have a major impact. An increase in air freight of just 1% can significantly increase total emissions. That is why our course remains clear: as much sea freight as possible, as little air freight as necessary.

Valuing resources. Reduce waste.

Sustainability often begins in everyday life and in the conscious use of resources. At all locations, we rely on consistent waste separation, clear collection systems and the active involvement of our employees.

A particularly effective approach: we use intact packaging several times, thereby extending its life cycle. Simple, efficient and without additional effort. The trend is clear: awareness is growing and the responsible use of resources is becoming more and more a matter of course for us.

Our view to the future

Sustainability is not a goal, but an ongoing process. That is why we are constantly working on further improvements.

  • Optimize transport
  • Further reduction of CO₂ through increased use of sea freight
  • More efficient delivery routes and logistics solutions to the customer Rethinking packaging solutions
  • even less plastic
  • Even more sustainable and alternative materials
  • Avoid packaging wherever possible

Our aspiration remains: Questioning the status quo and consistently improving.

A future worth living with responsibility

Our experience shows that real impact is achieved when the right decisions are made in the right places and this path is followed consistently.

For us, sustainability means

  • Taking responsibility
  • Act pragmatically
  • get a little bit better every day

This is exactly the path we are following. Step by step, with the firm aim of making our contribution to an environment worth living in. In doing so, we always keep in mind that future generations should also experience this world under good conditions.
