From the very beginning we have built our company on the conviction that we want to be a reliable partner for our customers. It is our task to help our customers in their projects with our products and our consulting services. This requires that we know and understand our customers and their challenges. This attitude has proven itself in our more than 20 years of company history. The personal contact to our customers is an important basis for this. This is why we also feel the responsibility in the development and manufacture of our products to insist on valuable functions, high security and high quality.
Our story began on 1 September 1998 in Baden in Switzerland with just two employees, the company’s founders, Angelo Banfi and Rudolf Rohr, from whose surnames our company’s name, barox, is derived.
We started from humble beginnings – in small, offices in an old industrial building. Initially, we were involved in the project business, with several sales agencies for products transmitting analogue video signals via fibre optic cable. In 2003, we then founded our distribution centre in the German town of Loerrach which made it much easier for us to supply and support our international customers. We reached a milestone in 2010 when we began to develop our own products and bring them to the market.
Today, we are represented in Germany, Austria and Switzerland – with business partners in Italy, France and the UK, that deploy our now highly regarded network switches into some of Europe‘s most demanding network security projects. We proudly announce the opening of our latest overseas market, UAE from where we shall manage the Middle Eastern territories via a network of highly acclaimed service providers.
